Thank you to MulitCare Community Partnership Fund, Avista Foundation, Coordinated Care and Panda Cares who all contributed to address the urgent need for additional behavioral health resources in our schools. Communities In Schools of Spokane County received funding from these foundations in order to hire an employee with a Masters in Social Work (MSW) for 3 years to supervise MSW student interns, act as liaison to existing behavioral health providers to create equitable access to mental health services for students, and staff training to support students socially and emotionally in facilitated groups.
