CIS students in Westwood Middle School’s RoboGo club dominated at the Robotics Rumble competition, hosted by Lakeside High School, this weekend! These young women and men went head to head with students from all over eastern Washington in navigation and maze events. The overall team took first place with their scores!

Some of the students who competed are living in poverty and working through all the obstacles poverty brings. For some of the students, this club is also the first chance they’ve had to experience STEM and get hands on learning about coding. All of this is done by our tireless site coordinator, Kevin Partridge. Having clubs and teams, like RoboGo, give students motivation to come to school and put to use what they learn in class.  We can’t wait to see what wonderful things their young minds achieve in the future!
